Learn how to crochet a mosaic purse with the Icelandic queen of mosaic crochet on Saturday 19th July 2025.

BYO yarn or purchase some in store at Bendigo Woollen Mills, 4 Lansell Street, Bendigo. 

Please note that there are STEPS required to reach the workshop space - there's no lift access.

There is parking on site but as it's Sheep Show weekend, it can get busy, so people may need to park on surrounding streets (there's a lot of street parking). There is also a shuttle bus running from the station to the mills and then onto the sheep show (schedule TBA, but the bus aligns with train arrival times from Melb in the AM and train departure times in the PM).

 

About Tinna:

Tinna loves crochet and all handy crafts and has crocheted since shewas a little girl, her great grandmother tought her how when I was 9 years old <3
Tinna in turn has taught crochet classes since 2009.

Tinna has been a professional crocheter since 2012 and has released 3 books with original crochet patterns in Iceland (Þóra Heklbók in 2011, María Heklbók in 2013 and Havana Heklbók in 2016) and was also the editor and contributer of the fourth book (Heklfélagið in 2014).

Tinna also does yarn bombs, since 2010, and was one of 4 textile artists featured in the movie Yarn (2016), where you can see her work. Now she is making more textile (indoor!) art and held her first art exhibition where she does both crochet and embroidery pieces.
