Crochet Guild Australia Convention 2025 and our home grown talented Designers.

Crochet Guild Australia Convention 2025 and our home grown talented Designers.

Andrea Clements

As a Committee member and Convention Lead for the Crochet Guild Australia, the 2025 Convention was a highlight for me after a year of hard work alongside other dedicated and hardworking volunteers. This event brought together some of the most talented crochet designers, showcasing their creativity and passion for the craft.

Whilst we were all lucky and grateful to welcome our international guests Eleonora Tully from Coastal Crochet, Tinna Þórudóttir Þorvaldar and Linda Dean (and they are all absolutely amazing)  I wanted to showcase and celebrate our home grown talented designers!

The gorgeous heart in the picture was a gift from the beautiful Joy Clements from Crochet Road when we caught up briefly at the Convention.

What Makes Australian Crochet Designers Stand Out?

Australian crochet designers are known for their unique style, blending traditional techniques with modern trends to create stunning pieces. Their attention to detail, use of colour, and innovative patterns set them apart in the crochet world.

Highlights from the Convention

At the 2025 Convention, I had the pleasure of meeting with some of these phenomenal designers, each bringing their own flair to the event. From intricate lacework to bold geometric designs, the range of talent on display was truly inspiring.
