Double Feature not Science Fiction!

Double Feature not Science Fiction!

Ok if you didn’t get the reference in The Calming Yarn Blog title it is a play on a song from Rocky Horror Picture Show!  I am a massive fan and have seen the movie and production numerous times!

The picture of those sumptuous Rocky Horror Picture Show Lips is by Bea King from Cottontail and Whiskers, who kindly gave me permission to use this picture. You can find the pattern here on her website https://www.cottontailandwhiskers.com/ or here on Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rocky-horror-lips

The song Science Fiction is written by Richard O’Brien and goes like this:

Science Fiction Double FeatureFrank has built and lost his creatureDarkness has conquered Brad and JanetThe servants gone to a distant planet
Oh oh oh, at the late night double feature picture show.I want to go, oh oh oh,To the late night double feature picture show.
The Calming Yarn this month is not about Science Fiction but it is about Double Features!  Over the past year and a half we have celebrated our amazing Australian designers in our Yarn Me Calm monthly newsletter, showcasing their work and providing links to their social media and places where you can buy their patterns!
I thought that it would be great to have a place where all of these amazing designers can be found!  So it is a bit of a ‘Double Feature’ featured in our newsletter and the blog!  If you know of other amazing Australian designers don’t hesitate to let me know so I can feature them in the future!

You need also to look at Aussies like Katieree (https://www.youtube.com/Katieree) and Lily's Crochet Stitches (https://www.youtube.com/liliannasta1116/videos), Andrea – for those of your followers like moi who crochet jumpers. I would give my back teeth to visit for a sit&stitch in that wonderful space you’ve set up; but for a person without a car the journey takes too long. :(
