One Ball Bag!!!

One Ball Bag!!!

Ok, get your minds out of the gutter...I mean one ball of yarn of course!

I love the colours that are in the range of Camilla Batik and the way the short colour changes work up in crochet.  I was lying in bed in the wee hours (I call them wee hours not just because of my Scottish heritage but also the amount of times I need to get up during the night!!!) and was wondering if I could make a bag with just one ball of Camilla Batik.  I know, I know, strange musings in the middle of the night but this is what happens when your yarniverse looks like mine!

So I set to designing a little bag with just one ball.  I thought I pretty centre (or bottom in this case) motif would be a great place to start and the rest just took on a life of its own as I went.

If you haven't used Camilla Batik before, it is a gorgeous 100% mercerised cotton by Madame Tricote Paris Camilla.  There are 260 meters on each 100 gram ball and it is a 4 ply yarn.  I have used it before to make a mandala and they colour changes were just beautiful so I was looking forward to creating something new with it!

Your productivity and generosity is quite overwhelming. First time I’ve had the opportunity to absorb your blog and I’m quite overwhelmed by the volume in just one newsletter-getting itchy fingers to start a new project but first to finish what I’ve started and simply to say Thankyou to a very generous warm fellow crocheter. Love my tribe ❤️💜💚
