Begin a Fox Paws Wrap while learning Xandy’s signature stacked-stitch technique.

The Fox Paws Wrap is known for its iconic, interlocking stripe pattern and for its reputation as a challenging but rewarding project. If you’ve always wanted to make one or have started the pattern but want in-person guidance, this class will build on a basic knowledge of stacked stitches to increase your confidence and accuracy.
Experts and brave beginners, knit and purl stitches, increases and decreases as well as chart reading You will start working on your own Fox Paws shawl and learn how to avoid, find, and correct mistakes.
In this class you’ll learn…
- Wavy, multidirectional colorwork and stacked increases/decreases that form the iconic interlocking "Fox Paws" motif without traditional intarsia or stranded knitting

Requirements:
For intermediate level knitters. Must have completed the introduction to stacked stitches workshop or bring an example of a previous stacked stitch project or swatch. Those who have never tried stacked stitches will benefit from taking the Intro to Stacked Stitches class in conjunction with this class.
What you'll need:
Worsted-weight scrap yarn in multiple colors and 5 colors of yarn in the weight of your choice for a final project. Needles: 5mm 20" circular needles. Extra needles in adjacent sizes may be helpful. Please bring metal or plastic needles if possible.
About Xandy Peters
Xandy Peters is a knitting designer and teacher, best known as the innovator of the stacked stitch technique and for the Fox Paws pattern. Starting out as a footwear and product designer, he turned to knitting as a way to explore textiles and surfaces without factory production, and has since made a career out of publishing new patterns and teaching workshops.
His designs have appeared in Vogue Knitting, Twist Collective, Knitscene, Knitty and Pom Pom Quarterly, and he teaches stacked stitches in his Craftsy class. Xandy says: “I want to encourage knitters of all levels to use their craft as a form of self expression, to try new techniques, and to share their projects and experiences.”

When you book and pay for this workshop, you are guaranteed a spot. We require a minimum of participants in order for the workshop to go ahead. If we cancel the event for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund.
