Stitches & Screens on the Bellarine - Event

Presented as a special prelude to the North Bellarine Film Festival, Stitches & Screens on the Bellarine brings together fibre enthusiasts and film lovers for an unforgettable afternoon of knitting, crochet, craft, conversation and screen magic.

Proudly brought to you by Yarn Me Calm and the North Bellarine Film Festival.

Date 11th October, 2026 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm at Parks Hall, Portarlington.

What you can expect:

• Grazing-style nibbles prior to film commencement.
• First Short Film screening with you working on your knitting, crochet or other portable projects.
• Interval for refreshments and socialising.
• Second Short Film screening with you working on your knitting, crochet or other portable projects.
• Interval for refreshments and socialising and give away announcements.
• Third Short Film screening with you working on your knitting, crochet or other portable projects.
• Project Parade after the films.
  
• Lucky door prizes from Yarn Me Calm, Kista Finance, Fluff & Nonsense, The National Wool Museum & Yarns on Shannon!
• Popcorn!
• Tables and chairs set up so you can sit comfortably with your project in front of you and be able to enjoy the films!

Requirements

• Bring your knitting, crochet or other fibre craft project.
• Bring all necessary tools and materials.
• Projects should be suitable for working on in lower-light conditions.
