The yarn is 5ply (Sport weight) non super-wash SRS Merino sourced from Great Southern Yarns. I  adore this base. It is ultra soft, lofty and has a wonderful drape when blocked. The colours are a rich jewel toned gradient, perfect for a pop of colour. 

If you think this sounds lovely, but you'd like a pattern to help direct your knitting (we all get overwhelmed with knitting possibilities sometimes) a physical copy of the Basic Nonsense Advent Shawl pattern is your box. The Basic Nonsense Advent Shawl has been fully tech edited, and has been tested. It is a very simple, asymmetrical shawl, with regular repeating garter sections between the increases. It is long, and squishy, and has an option for a slipped stitch or garter edge, and an option for tassels or no tassels (Tess always chose tassels).
